Car Design / Model

For my project this semester I will be designing my own car and then modeling it in Maya. The first half of the semester I will be doing design work with all of the design being completed by midterm, and the second half will be spent modeling, texturing, lighting, etc... I have modeled a car before, and it is shown below.


My milestones are as follows:

Week of Jan. 30 - Have all "inspiration" images gathered of other cars.
Week of Feb. 6 - Have a beginning drawing of the overall shape of car.
Week of Feb. 13 - Add details (headlights, wheels, etc...)
Week of Feb. 20 - Refine shape of car to create unity between pieces.
Week of Feb. 27 - Final car drawing done for midterm.

Space station Concept

This is a concept that I drew up for the curved hallway of my environment.  It has large windows on one side and has a line of glowing panels that light it up.  The floor is grated and has pipes that run underneath.  The style we are going fore is steam punk.

guns and fun

My steampunk gun isn't really looking very steampunkish. It needs more copper but I haven't found a good copper color I like. Need to finish a few things but I'm likin the way Its coming.

Hephaestus Block Man

For my project I want to create the Greek God Hephaestus. I have begun modeling his torso and legs as you can see. He is very blocky thus far, but I can see the rest of his body coming along nicely. I plan to finish his arms soon and then begin refining his figure, I've got a lot of work to do!!!

Here is the current progress on the Pudgy Ninja. He's still in his headless, blocky glory. But I'm still figuring out the basics, so it's not as cool as the lovely ladies that precede him.

Conceptually awesome?

So I've been working a little bit on modeling a base mesh for my model before I pull it into zbrush, and doing some concept art. Neither are that great right now but I like the concept, just some more tweaks and I'll be pretty happy. My concept is very anime styled but I want a very realistic model in the end that looks as photo realistic as possible, but with more anime inspired clothing. Next up designing her guns.
